 Job Title:Director of Civil Operations

 Description:Strategic Planning§  The Director Civil Operations is responsible for developing the organization's operational plan for the current fiscal year, as well as a 3-year view of future growth.
  • Strategic positioning of the organization and its service offerings and effective communication of the essence of the services to the business community.
  • Responsible for the operational focus as well as the integration of operational areas.
Operations Management  
  • Set individual as well as team operations performance goals.
  • Monitor goals and objectives. 
  • Hold team accountable to forecasts and insist on pro-activity in the marketplace.
  • Ensure that goals and needs of individual staff members are being met.
  • Ensure monthly and/or quarterly meetings to help educate and train the team on professionalism, for encouragement and reporting.    

Marketing/Business Development 

  • The Director Civil Operations will be involved in refining/defining service offering strategies along with market research and trend analysis to establish new services.  Responsibilities include support to market penetration strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies as well as enhancements in the current deliveries.
  • Business Development associates for Civil Operations reports to the Director Civil Operations
  • The Director Civil Operations is responsible for distribution strategies, design, and management.
  • Assist with appropriately positioning the organization's service offerings in the marketplace. 
  • Responsible for designing and implementing an overall communication and promotions plan.
  • Responsible for generating sales from the company’s services to solidify the services' position as a dominant force in the marketplace.
  • As service offerings become available, develop effective tactics to penetrate accounts by leveraging strategic partners as much as possible.

Communication Dissemination

  • Responsible for the continued provisioning of internal and external communication/dissemination of the business including: website updates; admin bulletins; quarterly newsletter input; and public reporting.

Performance Measurements

  • Operation plans are integrated successfully.
  • Execute operational programs, which will meet organization’s strategic growth goals.

Qualifications Experience/Skills/Personal Qualities:

  • 15 years of professional or consulting work experience in IT or related environment
  • Must have experience successfully running small to mid range ($10 - $40 million) service oriented organization and a consistent history of achieving excellent operational financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to take current company vision and “grow it.”  Create an organization culture that reinforces core values and retains and attracts high caliber staff at all levels.
  • Must possess demonstrated experience in building successful win strategies for new markets.  Solid ability in target marketing, consultative selling, and partnership development. 
  • Excellent experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing structured processes and procedures in a dynamic deadline driven IT services environment.
  • Hands on approach to hiring, managing and coaching staff to success. 
  • Excellent communications skills – verbal and written.
